ORGANIZATIONAL INFORMATION:
Mission: The Bradford Washburn American Mountaineering Museum seeks to preserve the history and spirit of mountaineering, to educate visitors on mountain culture and the sport of mountaineering, and to inspire in the modern climber a greater appreciation for climbing history.

POSTION OBJECTIVE:
The Event Planning Intern will help to facilitate all mountaineering museum events.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include:
· Working with gear brands to cultivate relationships for sponsoring the events
· Contacting local breweries to obtain beer and bands for live music for events
· Helping create marketing strategies and updating website and/or social media
· Making marketing materials using AI or PS (no experience necessary)
· Helping manage volunteers
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
The Event Planning Intern works closely with the Museum Manager.
CANDIDATE COMPETENCIES/ QUALIFICATIONS:
We seek individuals with drive, creativity, flexibility and ambition who are interested in supporting the mission, vision, and brand of the American Mountaineering Museum. We expect self-motivated starter, a sense of humor, and the ability to work independently.
COMPENSATION:
Unpaid. Intern may receive college credit.
